Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

We offer a carefully planned range of Head Spa treatments designed to be both restful for the body and mind, while deeply restorative for the scalp. We also have an extensive range of Facial treatmetns which ensure that we can provide solutions targeted to each individual client’s needs. Additionally, we offer Massage Therapy, and a selection of custom options.

Can I book multiple treatments?

Yes, most definitely! Our booking system will assit you with the process of selecting multiple treatments which fit your schedule and your spa day budget. We have some shorter treatments that can be added as a way to manage the total commitment for your visit.

What makes your spa different?

We provide a uniquely European styled experience. It’s not just our brand and the thoughtfully styled rooms, but all of the hair and skin products we use are super-premium European brands.

The facial treatments are performed exclusively with the Dr. Schrammek (German) range of products, while the Head Spa treatments use Natulique products (Danish).

Additionally, our methodology for Head Spa treatments certainly reflects the Japanese origins, but we’ve intentionally created versions which are more sympathetic to The Hygge Philosophy (look it up, we promise it will be worht it).

The same is true for the Facial program which is carefully curated and adopts the very Germanic method of structured treatments with precise timing.

We obviously offer Sewdish style massage, which, ironaically, was actually systematized in the Netherlands. Fun fact.

Do you have private rooms?

Yes, all of our treatments are performed in private rooms. They also have their own individual closets for you to place and secure your belongings.

Do you have products for retail sale?

Yes. We try to keep almost every product that we use available for retail sales. These are often in smaller sizes, but the exact same product.

It’s not always easy, as demand is unpredictable, so we will sometimes be able to provide a product that we order for you with free home delivery.

How early do I arrive for my appointment?

We suggest that customers arrive at least 5-minutes before their appointment. It gives us an opportunity to complete any details related to the intake process while they relax in our waiting area. Enjoy an herbal tea, or a cold sparkling water before immersing yourself into your treatment experience.

Do you have a membership or club program?

Not at this time, but we will be developing an innovative program in the near future.

Do you have packages or gift cards available?

Not at this time, but we will plan to add this as soon as practical. We first need to develop a better sense for demand of certain services.

What should I wear?

Anything you like! We provide smocks, and robes for you to change into prior to your treatment - just to make sure that you stay clean and dry. We also provide single use slippers which you get to keep and take home.

It’s our job to make sure that you are comfortable, and that you leave ready for the rest of your day.

Do you have a cell phone policy?

Absolutely. Clients visit with us to enjoy some peace and quiet, so that they can reset from their busy lives. We respect these needs, and want to do the best we can to provide them with that sanctuary.

We also recognize that life can be complicated, and being contactable might be important.

We simply ask that you turn your ringer off, and text instead of calling.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

We do. Our staff typically build their schedule around their appointments on any specific day, so we are always concious of their commitments, and our obligations to them.

We require a minimum of 48-hours notice for cancellation with no charge, while cancelation prior to 24-hours will incur a fee of 50%. If possible, we will attempt to waive this based on rebooking the client for another appointment. Note, there are no guarantees that this can be accomodated.

For other cancellations or no-shows, we charge the client in full for their booking.

The specifics will be shared with you during the online booking process, so please pay attention to the details as you confirm an appointment.

How do I tip my service provider?

When your treatment is finished you will be provided your client protfolio. Your check details will list suggested tip amounts, and you can either include this on a credit card when you check out at reception, or if you prefer, there will be an envelope for you to tip in cash which goes directly to your service provider.

Can I book online?

Yes, of course. In fact, the only way to book an appointment is online. You can certainly call or message us with any questions in advance of booking your treatment, and we can assist you with the online booking process.

Are your staff properly qualified?

First, every staff member must be licensed by the appropraite body in the state of California for the services which they are providing.

In addition, there are products used in certain treatments which require additional certification.

Lastly, our training process ensures that staff are only “released” to our client booking system to perform services once they are approved internally.
